About B.Ed. Course (Commencing Year -2021)

Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) is a two-year full time professional degree program to become a school teacher. The course comprises four semesters in all. It is not the same as an undergraduate degree and to take this course, one must be a graduate. It is recognized by NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR TEACHER EDUCATION (NCTE).
It aims at enhancing competencies and skills required by a teacher through on-campus and field learning.
The well-structured and diverse B.Ed. syllabus builds a strong foundation in areas like Primary Learning, Adult Education, Child Development and Pedagogy, Special Education, and creating gender-inclusive classrooms. It is an ideal course to start in the field of education for schools. This course is the right choice because school teachers are in high demand and the government is placing great emphasis on raising literacy rates.

Admission

It is through entrance exam results held in May at Prof. Rajendra Singh University (PRSU).

Our Journey

The first batch of B.Ed. commenced in the year 2021 with a total strength of 50 students and now in the year 2023 the first batch is passing out with flying colors. New batches are being added yearly and now we have a total strength of more than 150.
Few of them have attained jobs in schools of repute in their hometown and some have stepped in their academic journey by serving the alma mater. For each subject, we have experienced and qualified faculty. For B.Ed. course we have faculty of 8 teachers.

Future Prospective

Those who wish to build a career in the field of Teaching can pursue M.Ed./M.A. in Education or enroll in some special education courses after graduation. With the advent of new-age technologies like internet-based learning and online classroom programs, conventional teaching and learning techniques have evolved. Thus, to adapt to the changes, the B.Ed. the syllabus has been redesigned and moduled as per the current scenario.
